Respecting Your Voice

I strongly believe in town governance that respects your voice and works with open doors, never hiding behind closed sessions and public consultation

Sullivan’s Island is only three miles long and 1/2 mile wide. How is it possible to make decisions that are devoid of and deaf to our residents? It’s hard not to engage our town when you only have to cross the street from closed executive sessions. I’ve learned from going door to door what I should always remember: it’s a community of thoughtful and generous neighbors and they’re offended by how the council majority has acted. We need to restore our trust in public input and opinions. It’s not hard, it only takes commitment and patience and…a short walk.
